MBBS is one of the most famous and noble options for students of Pakistan to choose as their career. Many Pakistani students aspire to finish the MBBS program from a Govt. clinical schools or from Private Universities. The programme is open to all academically qualified candidates without consideration to gender, religion, race, creed, colour or
domicile in Pakistan's different Universities.
Although the list of medical colleges and universities in Pakistan is normal, still the number of seats to the medical student aspirants in Pakistan is low. What is MBBS in Pakistan
Five years of Medical degree MBBS also known as Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery programme. The programme is open to all academically qualified candidates without consideration to gender, religion, race, creed, colour or domicile in Pakistan's different Universities.
MBBS course in Pakistan can be completed in 5 years. It includes 4.5 years of academic education and 6 months of mandatory internship in a relevant field. Students who have completed intermediate or 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the mandatory subjects are eligible to apply for MBBS course. Moreover, students need to undertake certain medical examinations to get admission in one of the universities such as MDCAT which is necessary to take admission in any medical institute of Pakistan.
MDCAT Test
Stands for Medical & Dental College Admission Test which is a Compulsory take for every Student for admission in either Private Medical Colleges of Pakistan or Govt. Medical Colleges or Universities. MDCAT was previously known as MCAT which was changed to MDCAT later on.
To take admission in any Medical College or the University of Pakistan either Private or Govt you need to be in MDCAT Merit list with following Formula.
- 10% Matriculation
- 40% Intermediate or Fsc
- 50% in MDCAT
- Also Negative Marking in Test
